Remove BG Plugin?

Question

Browse Plugins option in PS 24.5.0 reveals Remove BG plugin -with warnings that plugins may write new files, cause issues etc. I downloaded this plugin via the Plugins portal is PS. But when prompted to sign up,I was concerned about malware, scams, etc.

A subsequent online search led to the same (or similar) plugin with a free trial that becomes a $21 monthly charge after 14 days.

Are these apps legit? Is it really necessary to pay this hefty fee for full CC subscribers? (subscription to CC, not just PS)

Any other suggestions for this plugin or similar? The current PS Select Subject option is inadquate for the level of detail my workflow requires. Thaanks.

Hi @FauxtoGuy Not sure why you would need a plugin when the remove background is an option already in Photoshop?

If the plugins are listed in the marketplace they are vetted and legit. Most (not all) do charge a free for use.
