Hi, Extensions in Photoshop CC 2015 is not listed in Extension manager for me anymore. I tried reinstalling extension manager but no luck.
I know Extension manager is discontinued, but theres still a link to it from Photoshop and no other way to locate previously installed extensions.
What Im trying to do is remove an old extension which Photoshop still has loaded from CC 2014, but I dont know how to find the installed location.
Any help appreciated.
Hi donbarrum,
Photoshop CC 2015 does not use Extension manager any more. See Adobe Exchange
Ps CC 2015 now syncs your addons directly via Creative cloud.
So if you have CC 2014 version loaded on your computer you can install and uninstall older plugins using Extension manager.
Refer How to Find and Install Previous Version of Adobe Apps in CC 2015 | Adobe Customer Care Team to install previous versions of Adobe CC Products.

So the only way for me to remove an old extension is to re-install Photoshop CC 2014 ? Isnt there any other way to locate the files for the extension?

If I want to install a previous Photoshop version it says it will delete my current version. so then this becomes very cumbersome...

Your Current version will not be affected.

Windows:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\

Why does Adobe insist on doing things like this? They've never heard of backwards compatibility? Why do the extensions not have a current mechanism for uninstallation? I'm getting a (really annoying) persistent error from an older extension because it is unsigned. It is a really simple extension & doesn't encumber my machine at all.
If not for your helpful file path, I may have been stuck. I don't have enough space on my system drive to install PS CC 2014 as well. This is the crap I really dislike about Adobe. They have that Apple computers-esque "everyone has to do it the way we want them to, even if it contradicts the way we did it before" attitude.
Thanks!

Why adobe hasn't modified the existing extension manager to work with current photoshop versions is anybody's guess.
Anyway, there are several third party extension managers that do work with current photoshop versions like this one:
