Removing duplicate pixels of two image layers doesn't work.

Hello,

I am having this issue while I am working on my project, I have two images that are nearly duplicates, with a difference of one object and it's shadow. I need to keep the object and shadow and remove other duplicate parts.

Using blend  options (divide & substract) doesn't do the work. Anyone might have an idea how to resolve it? I am adding the images as referance below.

Thanks in advance!

The images are transparent, that's why it's not working. I merged each image with a solid what layer and Divide and Difference work just fine.

Thank you, it seems to be the issue. I'll find a workaround to resolve it.
