Render -> Flame Greyed out, have tried many suggestions

Flame, Picture Frame and Tree are all greyed out under the Render menu. I have looks through the forums, and tried many things:

- Use Graphics Processor is checked

- I tried unselecting, rebooting, selecting and rebooting again. Still no good.

- The correct GPU is recognized, ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

- Under Advanced settings, Use OpenCL is checked

- Available GPU RAM is set to 11000MB

- I have updated my video drivers

- I was trying on a new raster layer, unlocked, had a path selected from the Pen tool

- Drew in "Path" mode, when using the pen tool

- Had path selected with the Path Selection tool when trying to Render Flame

All failed...still Greyed out. Help!

Did you try starting Photoshop with the shift key held down and skip loading the optional plug-ins you install? Perhaps one is interfering with filter render>flames.

However I seem to be able to load theNik collection and use render flame my maching has a Nvidia Qridro 4000

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried launching PS with shift key held, and skipped loading third-party plug-ins, with same result. Flames still greyed out.

I notice the you system info shows the no Photoshop extensions have been loaded. I do not know it the is what the case sgoul be....

On my machine I see some I have added but other seem to be Default extensions Adobe installs. I add Adobe Color Theams and JSX Launcher extensions. The other seem to be Adobe's

If things are in the right place and it still does not work - I would try a preference reset.

Go to Preferences > General and click "Reset Preferences on Quit". Then click OK and close and restart Photoshop.

Keep this in the back of your mind is something is not working right in Photoshop the first thing to do is check current tool settings and document state layer target, selection etc. If all look good then try resetting Photoshop Tools to fix the problem. If that does not work try resetting you user id Photoshop preferences. If that does not fix the problem ask for help.
