Replace without formatting no longer working

So after managing missing fonts I go to update text:

and this is the font required (updating the missing font "Helvetica Neue Bold") which is one of the fonts within the source file

I then paste text (and also tried paste without formatting) from outside text file:

and myriad appears as the font...

and then this happens ...

If you get that error, it means either that font is not loaded or there is some mismatch. What kind of document are you copying from? Can you copy/paste into a different application such as Word?

you can see where HelvNeue Bold is the managed updated font but even typing in Myriad seems to take over - never seen this before

Even though I have replaced missing fonts I get this when I paste - and when I paste it doesn't take the font in the text box but it pastes as the default font

@Todd_Morgan Are you sure? It's working for me. The "Replace without formatting" functionality, or more accurately, the ability to paste plain text, still exists and works in Photoshop. It's just not as straightforward as a simple "Paste without formatting" menu option like you might find in a word processor. The confusion often arises because the standard "Paste" command (Ctrl V) in Photoshop will attempt to retain the formatting of the text you copied.
