Required help to run script based on open documents file type...Please help

I have three different action, one for jpeg file,one for psd file & one for png file. I want to create one single script which identify the file type of opened document in photoshop and run action based on file type. Please help..Thanks in advance

One possibility is to rely on the file name extensions, and evaluating the name or path property of the document.

Another possibility would look at the info and/or xmpMetaData properties. The latter should provide you the information even with incorrect file name extension.
