Hi,
i have Photoshop CS 6 running on my mac. when starting the programm, i get shown some registers with old images... I did the following steps yet, trying to reset to defaults.
The problem is still not fixed.
What else i can do to fix the issue?
Thanks a Lot
Best Regards
Sally

I wonder if the »old images« might be Photoshop’s back-ups (that did not get removed from the »PSAutoRecover«-Folder) or if some OS setting is involved.

What have you done for trouble-shooting apart from restoring Preferences?

Hi Sally. I am not entirely understanding your question. If resetting Preferences does not fix your issue, could you describe it in more detail please?

Sally, we have no idea what your problem is because you have not explained what is happening. You need to give us MUCH more detail.

ok, will explain it. When i open Photoshop, automaticly opens 10 Registers with old Images. So when i close this registers, and end Photoshop, the next time when starting Photoshop this registers with the old Images open again.

Are there any Files in the Folders »AutoRecover« (in the user library) or »PSAutoRecover« on Photoshop’s primary Scratch Disk?

You’re welcome.

CS6 has no guarantee of running on El Cap or newer.
You may have upgraded your OS past the point of compatibility.
My only suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall, but again no guarantees this would fix your issue.
