Having spend a couple of hours trying to resolve the "Lightroom cannot launch Photoshop" and failed.

I now have no resize handle on any of my objects. I can move the objects around but not resize.

As an ocasional user I seem to get issues every time I open photoshop these days.

Windows 10

Adobe Photoshop Version: 23.0.2 20211119.r.101 ace26c0 x64

I have done the  reset preferences thing and that failed

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

To resize pixels on a layer, you can:

  • Use Edit > Free Transform (Ctrl+T)
    or
  • Select the Move tool, then in the options bar click the checkbox for "Show Transform Controls"

Thank you Jane-E for your advice and getting back to fast. I had tried that.

I managed to fix the problem by shutting down Photoshop and restarting it. After doing that 4 or 5 times the handles just reappeared.

I've run into another brick wall editing text. Selecting the text tool I can insert the cursor and highlight text but the keyboard will only move the cursor left or right two or three places. I can't type any text.

3.5 hours to insert a new image and add 8 words of text. Can I claim some kind of achievement award?

Hi @MyRedMazda

If you toggle "Show Transform Controls" in the Move tool options, does that hide/show the bounding box?

With the other issue, you already said you reset preferences. Can you start a new thread for that? It sounds like a bug.
