For years I had been resizing photos in Photoshop using a third-party utility, whose name now escapes me. The idea is, as I recall, that ordinary, built-in, Photoshop resizing techniques are not too good at scaling-up the image content when serious increases in dimensions and/or image resolution are required. Can one of you please refresh my memory on this, how to go about it, package(s) to install, etc.
You're probably thinking of Genuine Fractals, which is now ON1 Resize. Photoshop has added a new algorithm called "Preserve Details" which is pretty good. Have you tried that?
