RGB layers stuck in grayscale model

For some reason my layers are in RGB mode but appearing in Grayscale, I can't manage to under or fix the issue. Please help!

Post a screenshot that includes both the Channels and the Layers panel.

Well, it looks to me like all the Channels thumbnails are identical - in other words, it actually is a monochrome image.

I think maybe we need to see the entire Photoshop workspace, with the image open.
