RTX 3080 and Photoshop AI

My Intel Arc A750 has been struggling with high resolution photos and AI features in Photoshop. I am looking to replace that card. I have been able to find some good deals on RTX 3080s and I was wondering if anyone had expirence using them inside of Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premeier Pro.

An example of the issues I have seen with the A750 is the AI denoise in Lightroom took between 7 and 8 minutes to run on a single photo last night.

TIA for any advice.

The RTX 3000 and 4000 series work very well with Photoshop, and are very reliable.

If you have a particularly good deal on a 3080 go for it, but generally a 3060 or 4060 is plenty good enough for Photoshop. It will do 60 MP raw files in 25-30 seconds, and 24 MP in 10.

If this was me, I might consider a newer 4060 or 4070 over a discount 3080, just to be a tiny bit more current. But they will all work well. Just make sure to use the Studio driver, not the Game Ready driver.

Thanks for the response. I am able to get a 3080 for $325 from a friend of a friend which is why I was looking at it. I think I will do a Pudget benchmark for a few Adobe programs with each card that way if anyone else is ever in my shoes they will be able to see the side by side comparison.

You'll be good with the 3080. Let me reinforce what @D Fosse wrote: Be sure you install the Studio driver for the card, not the "Game Ready" driver, which is the one you'll be offered by default on the Nvidia website.
