Hello there,

Some time has passed since the first generation processors were released named Ryzen (2017). Ryzen or Intel? Radeon or GTX? Which is better for photoshop, 3dsmax, aftereffects? I am only interested in the opinion of  people working on Ryzen's based machines. I know it was a topic like this but some things has been changes since new Adobe update, especially in EMEA.

Thanks,

Andrew

It seems to me that you can take Photoshop out of the hardware critera , as 3Ds Max and After Effects are far heavier on system requirements.  In fact Photoshop will perform better with cheaper lower core count processors with high clock speeds.  It is also not a huge use of the GPU — tests we have done appear to indicate that so long as your GPU meets minimum spec, they all perform about the same.  I went from a GTX970 to an RTX2070 in my i9-7900X system for instance, and saw not a jot of extra performance.

So your best bet IMO, is to do exactly what Ged advised, and read the Pugot System articles.  They are constantly up to date with the latest hardware, and as far as I know, the regular posters to this forum are far more interested in using Photoshop than obsessing on the latest hardware updates.

I'll also suggest the Premiere Pro Hardware forum (if it still exists 🤞).  This is probaly the new incarnation of the Hardware forum.

I have readed already and we know that Radeon VII with 16GB is a bad idea, RTX 1060 with 6GB overthrown AMD's GPU. What about 3th Ryzen? Worth of money?
