I am working with the current version of Photoshop on a Windows PC.
I have a Photoshop file with many layers and I want to save only the visible layers as a new file in a *.psd file.
Is this possible?
I think this could be done with an Action (Image > Duplicate, Delete Hidden Layers, File > Save As).
Is there something complicating the matter that needs further automation that would justify a Script?

Adding to what @c.pfaffenbichler said, in case you only need to do this with one file, you don't need to create an action. Just do the steps.

And just to make sure: »Delete Hidden Layers« is available in the Layers Panel’s flyout menu and does not mean deleting them manually.
