When I go to save, the window is blank!

looks like this is a recovered file with a black screen? Did you quit and reopen photoshop?

did you try resetting the preferences? Command or Control + K and then click Reset Preferences.

The file is recovered because I had to force quit in order to get rid of that screen.  Now I can't save anything.

Ok, that seems weird. Did you try deleting the preferences? Or restart holding down Command+Option+Shift (Ctrl+Alt+Shift on PC)

Ok, I get that. You can copy your preferences file, then put it back. that might work

Check out this article: https://www.bwillcreative.com/how-to-reset-backup-and-restore-your-photoshop-preferences/

usually it can help. See it works before putting your old preferences back. But those files can get corrupt.

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere: 

Restore your preferences using this manual method:  

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually  

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hello,

I thought it fixed itself, but apparently not.  I removed my preference settings, restarted photoshop.  I replace my preferences.  It worked for a bit, then started again.  I REALLY don't want to lose my preferences.  Is there any other solutions?

Thank you for your sysinfo @rachelleg86637997 as we look at it, it appears you don't  have enough RAM to run Ps as a minimum of 8gb is required, yours:

Memory available to Photoshop: 5523 MB

Hi Corey,

Thank you for helping me. I'm not sure why it would be that.  I've been using Photoshop cc 2022 and 2023 for awhile now with no problems.  I recently did an update and im pretty sure that's when it started.  I just uninstalled PS22 .  I'm wondering if that will help?

This was happening to me too - it had been at least a few days and I can't save anything in photoshop.
My software was up-to-date when it started happening.
I tried uninstalling and then re-installing photoshop (selecting 'keep' my preferences) and this did not resolved anything. 
I uninstalled but this time removed all preferences - and it seems to be working (for now)
A bit annoying to have to set up all my preferences again though...

I just solved the same problem.

- Rename the UXP folder to ~UXP.

• (Windows) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP
• (macOS) Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

BS. Only thing that works is deleting the "Adobe Photoshop 2023 Settings" folder in your local preferences folder.
