Hey Guys. This Morning I updated my Photoshop v 22.1 but I've had this problem for a week or so. When I open a psd file and make changes to it and save it again to the original spot, I get a "Could not save "-----.psd" because of a program error." Everytime I get this error, the folder that has the original psd file gets a new file added to it with file name "Adobe Photoshop 202173826193387333" and so on. But if I save the same file with the same changes to my Desktop, it saves just fine. But then I have to move the file back to the original folder and then if I make changes to that file again, I have to do the whole thing over again. Can someone please inform me of what is going on with this? Is there a setting for this in preferences?

What does menu File>save do if it does not save your document to its backing file? On my Windows 10 system with Photoshop 22.1. If I open a PSD file and make a change Ctrl+S Saved saved the saves over the open PSD. If the document is not marked dirty by a change Save is not available and Ctrl+S does nothing and the is not error message, I can use Save as to save the document over the opened PSD or save a PSD with a version name. I can also use a shortcut that run a Action that Has an Image Processor Pro recorded step to save a version of the current document with a sequence version number. Are you using an Action or a Mac?
