is there a way to scale layers with effects proportionally? I.e.: If I drag a text layer with Drop Shadow layer effects to smaller document, then transform (smaller), the drop shadow will need to be adjusted after scaling. Very inefficient with multiple layers & files. And with varying aspect ratios, it's not always as simple as resizing the source file. I seem to recall a prefs setting that would allow proportional scaling as default, but that appears to be gone (perhaps I misremember).
There is the post scaling option under Layer>Layer Style>Scale Effects, which can be useful, but adds another step, and it not as exact as simple proportional scaling.
I know this has been discussed ad nauseam for years, but I'm looking for a possible updated solution to this in V20.0.3 -?
Since so many users request this option, I would think it a no-brainer to offer the option as a default setting.

Is there any reason you just can't use Smart Objects? They would scale all effects when transformed in a new document

Can't re-arrange the text with Smart Objects, or I would certainly use that option. Often have to toggle between centered, flush left text etc. It's all about efficiency...
