Screensots in Photoshop

If you have the image in Photoshop already, why do you need a screen shot of it, instead of for example exporting a copy? What is the goal of the screen shot, do you need to do something like include the Photoshop UI in the picture, or strip metadata from the open document?

In any case, the built-in screen shot feature of your OS can easily do it. That’s how everyone creates screen shots of Photoshop for the thousands of Photoshop tutorials you find online.

You need a third party application, either built into your operating system or installed separately to capture screenshots. Once captured, the resulting image files can be processed in Photoshop.
