Script: Page number+custom text on the footer

Hi,

I'm doing a catalogue of medical items, and If is possible, I need a script that insert a short text in the center footer of the page plus the page number, like " Family 23 - pag. 1", and the number page might change +1 for each page done (but I think that if I want to do this, I have to rename the .psd file right?).

Thanks a lot!

Are you doing page layout in Photoshop?

That would seem a fairly bad choice in general, though in some cases it may indeed make sense.

How are the text and the pagina to be defined (enter manually each time, is there a txt-file, is it in the metadata, …)?

Yes in photoshop, isn't a good choice?

The script should insert a new text layer in a fixed position of the page, better the center footer, the pages width/height are the same for all pages.

Do you need a sample screen?

For page layout it generally is not.

In my opinion programs like Indesign offer for example

• more refined type-specific options

• some more involved output options

• more convenient management of linked content

Are you being serious?
