After the photoshop engineering team has not updated anymore the ScriptUI version, that was not the case on Illustrator neither on Indesign engineering teams.
ScriptUI.version return these numbers on all the 2017 apps:
Photoshop CC2017:
3.2.9
Bridge CC 2017
4.0.1
Illustrator CC2017:
6.1.8
Indesign CC2017:
6.1.8
Why? There is lack of a valid explanation on this regarding, and the extensions were also implemented on the Indesign and Illustrator, and they have a valid ScriptUI.version updated some long time ago.
We need this update in photoshop as well.

You should use Adobe feedback site for questions like this. You need to deal with Adobe not Adobe Photoshop Users here. The correct Adobe site to use is https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family

Hi
I have done that too. The more people knows and vote for it, the better.

Hi Pedro,
as far as I get it, ScriptUI implementations in different apps are impossible to compare, since they operate on very different premises. For instance, the rendering engine of InDesign is Drover, the Photoshop's is Mondo: the update rate can't be compared, they're not the same thing. The features set that PS implement over the ScriptUI specs is different as well.
Then, we could argue whether the PS team is more or less focused in assigning development cycles to ScriptUI compared to other teams, but this is an entirely different can of worms 🙂
Cheers,
Davide

And as, for example, the Illustrator team seems to, at some point in the past, have decided that Illustrator need not be able to assign keyboard shortcuts to Scripts by default (though that might be addressed in the next release) the whole concept of user automation seems to have carried different weight among the different Adobe product teams.

Hi Davide
I agree I can't compare technically the 2 rendering engines.
Still, the root question remains as valid to the photoshop team go forward on this ASAP.
