Hello,
I believe the feature, Scrubby Zoom, is where you click and drag either right or left to zoom in and out (correct me if I'm wrong). If so, I had been using this feature for ages and it made my drawing process swift and easy.
Suddenly, within the last few months, my scrubby zoom is greyed out. Sometimes when I would restart my MacBook Pro (less then a year old) it would work again - no big deal, just inconvenient. Now, it has entirely stopped. No matters of editting my settings has fixed it, resetting my tablet settings or Photoshop settings, anything. I would really like to get Scrubby Zoom back simply because it is jarring to use any other scroll (I've been hobbling by). I thought updates would fix my problem, but it's only gotten worse.
Please, help?
I'm running:
Photoshop CS6 Extended Version 13.0
Cintiq 13HD 6.3.22-3
OS Sierra 10.12.4
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
EDIT: It.... it randomly came back? I literally have no idea what's happening.
EDIT 2: And suddenly it's gone again? Right in the middle of a piece? Animated Zoom is also not working, despite all appropriate Preferences being checked
Perhaps. I did do a little more investigating, and it seems that when I have my Cintiq tablet set to Mirror Mode (showing the contents of my screen) it works, but when I use the "dual monitor" mode (where it's an extension of my monitor, obviously) then scrubby zoom fails. It could be the solution to my problem, but it still seems weird.

PS relies on a "Sniffer" to detect your graphic card settings. Even if you have a decent graphics card, if the sniffer can't detect what you have, it will limit your functionality. Your driver might have gotten corrupted, maybe reinstall your graphic card drivers. Sometimes, if your battery is low, it will limit your graphic card.

I've noticed that with multiple images open I can end up with Zoom All Windows enabled which disables Scrubby Zoom. The setting is changed by clicking Zoom Tool (or pressing Z) and changing the setting in tool options at the top of the screen.
