Select layer above or beneath current layer with a shortcut

Community Beginner ,
Jul 14, 2024 Jul 14, 2024

I want to use the shortcut ALT+[ or ALT+] to select the above or beneath layer but when i press it nothing happens.
My goal is to integrate it in an Action so i need tu use a shortcut instead of clicking with the mouse (that would select the layer by the name).
I tryed to change the shortcut but i didn't find anywhere in Photoshop shortcuts.
Aprecciate the help.

Layer invisibility can be worked around (otherwise a script would be needed):
