Hello everyone,
I recently tried the trial version of photoshop CS6, and the lines I draw in photoshop are more like series of little straight lines. I can draw better lines in Paint Tool SAI with no stabilizer, but no matter what I do in photoshop the resulting lines are finicky.
Can someone please help me with this?

You can double click on the brush tool or the pencil tool to adjust its smoothness.

I don't understand. I double click the brush tool, nothing happens. Is there something that I am stupidly missing?

Nope, it's me. That feature is in illustrator not photoshop. Sorry about that.
If it is a series of lines that make up the stroke. Odds are the jitter is enabled which can be for some preset brushes.
Open the brush and preset panels. (window>brush and window>brush presets)
Disable scattering if it is enabled.
In the Brush tip shape - reduce the spacing if it is extremely large.
Other than that, we would have to see what the brush stroke looks like.
