Share for Review: Unable to add tagged comments

Community Beginner ,
Oct 02, 2025 Oct 02, 2025

Share for review links are viewable and untagged comments post as expected. However, tagged comments are not working when pinning or drawing on the artboard:

  1. When the pin is selected, the cursor dissappears as I drag my mouse onto the artboard. I can place the pin and enter a comment. The submitted comment shows in the comment section, but is labeled "untagged" and no pin appears on the artboard.
  2. When the drawing tool is selected I can mark the document, but when I enter a comment and click "Submit" I recieve the following error and the comment doesn't post: We are unable to post your comment, please try again.

This behavior is consistent accross my entire team.

App version:

26.10.0 20250811.r.7 595d3a6 x64 (tested this version as well with the same results)

Platform & OS version:

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)

Windows 11 Pro 23H2

Basic steps to reproduct the problem:

  1.  Create a Share for Review link from a PSD in Photoshop
  2.  Open link in browser (Chrome, Firefox or Edge)

Expected result:

  1. Link opens in browser
  2. Work is reviewed
  3. Comments are left

Actual result:

  1. Unable to leave tagged comments with the pin tool. With pin tool selected, the cursor disappears on artboard. Left click to pin comment. Enter comment and click submit. Comment is labeled "untagged" with no pin.
  2.  Unable to leave tagged comments with the drawing tool. With the drawing tool selected, draw on the artboard. Enter comment and click submit. Error message recieved: We are unable to post your comment, please try again.

Steps we've attempted to alleviate the issue:

  1.  Clearing the browser cache
  2.  Opening the links in Chrome, Firefox and Edge
  3.  Opening the links in incognito mode
  4.  Deleting and recreating all share for review links

Hi @benjamin.simonson, thanks so much for reaching out and for sharing those detailed steps.
I gave this a try on my end but haven’t been able to reproduce the issue so far. Just to help narrow things down, does this happen in every document, and have you tested it on multiple machines? If you have a link to a shareable file, feel free to send it over and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
Thanks again!
Alek

Hi @Aleke, thank you for looking into this. Yes, this is happening in every document. We've tested this on three PCs. Here are some links that demonstrate the issue:

We're also encountering another issue in addition to the inability to add tagged comments, which is blocks of color distortion appearing in the review links. This problem has been confirmed on multiple PCs. Here are some examples of that as well:

This is what we're seeing:

Thanks in advance for your help resolving this issue. Please let me know if you need any further information.

@Aleke we've also tested this with Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.11.0 20250918.r.18 a87e57f x64 with the same results. Is there any update on the status of this issue?

@Aleke we are having the same issues as well. The only difference is that I'm working on a Mac and some of my coworkers are working on a PC. We all encounter the same issues in all of our files.

@Aleke the issue appears to be resolved. We are now able to add mapped comments with both the pin and drawing tools.

@Aleke unfortunately I spoke too soon. The mapped comments error was briefly resolved. However, now all Share for Review links result in 404 errors. We've tested existing links and newly created links. We've cleared our caches. We've tested on 4+ PCs and Macs. We've tested on Chrome, Edge and Firefox. All result in this message:

Error 404: Asset not found
