Hello, Everyone I need some help as I was making a Jimi Hendrix poster and I grouped all the jimis and layer and then converted it to a smart object yesterday, however, today I woke up to it being named group 15 and it became a normal layer and it is not giving me the option to rasterize nor ungroup nor edit the material and I did not save it to the cloud so I have no previous version, help it very much needed. I also attached some screenshots to better show my situation!

Hi @CatsAreCool444 Photoshop does not convert Smart Objects to layers while you sleep. It appears you may have accidentally rasterized the smart object or merged the layers and not converted them to a smart object prior to saving.
Unfortunately without a backup there isn't much we can do. Do you have Time Machine enabled where you can go back to yesterday and restore the previous version?

hello thank you so much for the reply means a lot I do not know what that is to be completely honest with you or even know where to find it I remember it being a smart object because I grouped it and then convert it to a smart object so I can use the filter gallery and today I opened it and it was a normal layer.

Can you resize your Layers panel taller so we can see the rest of your layers?

Hi @CatsAreCool444 being on a Mac - do you have Time Machine enabled? That may be your only option to try and recover the original work. I see your smart object on the Gradient Fill but your Group 13 has been rasterized. Did you happen to have changed color modes, etc. that would have flattend anything prior to saving the night before?
