Hi,
Thanks to all who took part on last weekend's "scissors" challenge.
This week we are out in the fresh air again. What can you make from this simple image of few planks of wood drifting on the sea? Have they been there long and drifted from a sunken ship, or have they recently been put there for a reason? It's entirely up to you to show us the story.
The “rules”:
To download the image below at 3840 x 2160 pixels with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the Blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.
Dave

Jane, as soon as we are allowed to fly again, I'll meet you there. (So long as that is New Zealand wine) 😀

She's a shark whisperer, Dave, and will be delighted to see Melissa's shark again.
Sharks are not the killing machines folks think they are! 😊

Tell that to the one with the big teeth eating Melissa's raft 😉

I will readily admit that when I first saw Jaws it scared me enough that I was instantly afraid to keep swimming in deep ocean water.
But real life isn't Jaws, and the reality is that sharks are in more danger from people than people are from sharks. Sharks are looking for food and are curious, and they get confused by dangling legs, whereas humans will kill sharks just for their fins to make soup or for trophies.

A number of the over 400 species of sharks are now on the endangered or threatened list.
Okay, Dave, I've told her, and she's still not afraid because in addition to being a shark whisper, she has facts on her side. 😊

I did get to swim and snorkel with some in Tahiti a few years ago. They asked the tourists to stay on one side of a rope and the sharks were on the other. I never worked out how they told the sharks to stay on their side 🙂

It must have been a beautiful place for snorkeling, Dave, and you were a long way from home. How nice that the sharks behaved! 🙂
