Hi,
After last week's complex scene, this week we have something much simpler, a Christmas tree bauble. What can you create with it?
The “rules”:
To download the image below at 2000 x 2000 pixels, with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the Blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.
Dave

Happy Holidays to you to Hans. That would make a nice Christmas card 🙂

Astronomers have several theories as to what the Wise Men may have seen in the sky that night.

Jane, voices in the night:
"The seventh would look grand hanging on an ever green tree."
"Now you are being silly: no one has ever decorated a tree, green or brown."
"Yous may be right."

I think that planet was discovered too late for Holst to include it in his Planet Suite, but a more recent musical accolade has been devoted to it by Michael Baublé 😉

You do realise that it has been there all the time, hiding behind Saturn 🙂

Jane, did you know about this when you put this up? Perhaps your post triggered this cosmic event in a Quantum effect kind of a way. Somewhere between 'If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear, does it make a sound?', and a butterfly flaps its wings in one part of the universe, and a star explodes in another. Lets hope there are no butterflys on Proxima Centauri.

Would that be King Edward? 🙂

It could be he, Dave.
My own thought was Robert the Bruce, but the encounter was brief and silent.
They could have been in the same forest at the same time.

Most exquisite, Jane. A star indeed. Is she also able to hover over bathtubs?

Prolific input this week Jane 🙂 The bauble fits well in that image.

If that's an Alien that has just burst out, I want to be as far away as possible!

Jane, you totally beat me to it. I was alreadyy thinking of hijacking Dave's GIF and adding a baby alien.
That's a nicely made animation Dave. 60 frames and very smooth. What did you use?
