After our last SFTW mountain top challenge, I thought it best that we get our vehicles checked over. So, for this week, we have this waiting workshop - created in Blender with a mix of bespoke models and Adobe 3D assets. Texturing was done in in Adobe Substance Painter.
Now you have the workshop, can you bring it to life?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
To download the image below at its full pixel size, and with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the Blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.

@Trevor.Dennis Nicely done — it took a minute to see you also added some wall hangings!
@davescm I think this is might be my favorite so far! It's gorgeous, and never in my life have I ever said that about any garage before!

Haha, Nice job Trevor.
You've thrown a lot into that image and so quickly ! The golf cart on the lift is excellent.

The Terminator (or Predator) view Dean.

I was thinking something along those lines though not Terminator or Predator directly. Is more Terminator but would need text overlay with spatial scanning information.
Here's a Predator version.

Dave, the hammer hanging on the wall looked so much like a dirty version of the one(s) in 118, so obviously I had to replace it; and the same with the one lying on the table; then for good measure I had one leaning (thinking out of the box) and one leaning/hanging (by the claw to get a hopefully tolerable angle/appearance). So at long last I found a way to use all four hammers from 118.

What a great image, Dave!
In the old days, it used to be a multi-purpose room...

Thanks Rafael.
That's a brilliant idea you've used. I hope they don't have to bring in the engine hoist to lift whatever it is they are taking out ! 🙂

Thanks, Dave. The garage workshop looked so clean that I thought they could perform surgery there!

Yes, nothing like some grime and dirty engine oil to keep infection at bay, and some of the workshop tools would come in handy. They might not have had cordless drills in those days, but mole grips would clamp the most insistent of leaking arteries, and there have always been hammers for when the chloroform runs out.
Those people on the left are not even wearing gloves, and there are people close to the patient who are not wearing masks. I wonder what period this would be from? I believe Florence Nightingale, bless her little heart, caught on to the risk of cross infection, and introduced rigorous hand washing and good hygiene around patients. That would have been in the 1850s (I Googled). Even nowadays sepsis is a problem. Going off at a tangent here, but I can remember reading in a William Gibson novel where the lead character has an operation in a back street 'surgery' and questions the doc about infection because it is all so grubby. The doc says something like, 'Don't worry. With the meds we used, we could have left a dead cat inside you, and you'd have been fine.'
They are a good fit on the lift though Rafael, and a nice interpretation of Dave's render.

Thank you kindly, Trevor. The image source stated that it was an operating room from the Victorian era, so you got the dates right.

Trevor, Rafael, actually it was Ignaz Semmelweis first proving that antiseptic (hand washing) procedures were crucial, and receiving the ultimate punishment for it.

Rafael,
Although I'm trying not to, I keep looking at the saw framed so well just behind your scene and thinking one of the doctors is about to grab it to do an amputation. 😢
As Trevor says, though, "some of the workshop tools would come in handy".

Yes, I saw that too (no pun intended!). That explains the term "sawbones".

I'm not sure if "Roxanne" and "Message in a Bottle" quite qualify as garage music. Sorry Dave. 😊
