Hi
With Christmas very close we need some decorations. The tree is in place but the decorations are still in the box. Can you help and, of course, give it a "something for the weekend" twist?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
To download the image below at its full pixel size, with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Merry Christmas to you and your families.

Indeed, Dave, and let them use the hall for the duration, so they brought their own decorations and gifts, in their own colour space and (lack of) depth.
They were a bit shy when this early picture was taken.

We don't celebrate Boxing Day in the U.S. so it's possible that I've misunderstood it?

The branches have not been pulled down so they must be flyweight or featherweight Jane. Or have I also misunderstood? 🙂

Yes, flyweight Dave. Here's Version 2:

Great addition of the boxing gloves. They are quite high to reach if needed in a hurry 🙂

In Australia and other Commonwealth countries, we celebrate Boxing Day the day after Christmas. There are multiple views on how it orginated - from charity boxes being opened after Christmas to give the contents to the poor to giving away of Christmas boxes (from presents). In Australia, it is just another reason to have a sale - possibly of all left-over Christmas stock or what has been returned 🙂

I've always heard that Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for the servants when they were given boxes with food and money to take home to their families after working hard on Christmas Day. It doesn't surprise me, though, to hear it's now become a shopping day!

Yes, it's rather like Black Friday, which is a name I find confusing. If it signifies bargains galore and happy shoppers, shouldn't it be called 'White' Friday?

Black Friday is supposed to b a single day event right? We had a Black Friday in Aus as well as a Black Weekened and month. With Boxing Day sales, it starts on the 26 Dec and usually goes for a few weeks. Not sure the specific end date.

I finally looked up Black Friday — the first recorded use goes back to 1869.

I'm more in tune with REI. They now close their doors on "Black Friday" and encourage folks to #OptOutside.

So it is true, Dean, everything is bigger Down Under, not only trains and lorries and bite risks. How about chimneys, if they are used like everywhere else?

@Dean_Utian! Mine had Santa. The REAL Santa, of course!! Your dog be like, "Santa had a rough night, what do ya want?"

@J E L - just had a look at yours again. Yes, you do have the real Santa 🙂 Sorry I missed it. Just saw that JJMack also had Santa.
My Santa probably did have a rough night. The dog may have been out in the sun (being Aus) too long.

"Decorations, or, Our New Home"
(From top to bottom: Pullo, Castor, Bowser, Oliver, and Theodore. I feel like I should just put them in the tree when it goes up. It would save some time.) lol
