After the last corkscrew challenge I thought we should get out into the big outdoors for some fresh air. So this week we have a springtime lake. Can you place yourself, or anyone else in the scene?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.
To download the image below at full size and with a transparent background, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun
Dave

Very good Rafael. We once had a drain the dock challenge - it was one of the very early SFTWs.

More recently, Trevor presented a long term weather forecast showing something even worse than a sticky end,

This one made me laugh out loud! Is that from Death Valley's racetrack Playa?

Indeed. The tracks are from a "sailing stone", which ended up under the dock...

Glacial/groundwater is good: the greenery is still there; so different from the brownery left behind by each Kenai spruce bark beetle attack.
Hopefully, this was not a crucial tipping point.

I'm glad that at least the mountains still have snow in this future world :).

Very still now - but I can't see the bottom of the lake. It must have got deeper 🙂

Quite, Dave, and wider. A most lucky apocalypse, at least for me.

That's a nice take on it Trevor. What did you use for the textured landscape?

A carefully measured amount of antimatter, then turned the Flux Capacitor all the way to eleven! Or it might have been Topaz Glow.

Well done Tever. You can send some antimatter this way. Looks great 🙂

I love the reinterpretation of the landscape. Reminds me a bit of Edvard Munch's, The Scream.

Well, we're watched while we wonder, Dean.
The more I ponder and wonder, the more I am convinced that we shall have to move in mysterious ways, through the many worlds.

I would guess yes - designed and built by government.

Dean, I wonder if it would be doable to make a kaleidoscope animation? Would the segments fold into each other?
