After the last corkscrew challenge I thought we should get out into the big outdoors for some fresh air. So this week we have a springtime lake. Can you place yourself, or anyone else in the scene?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.
To download the image below at full size and with a transparent background, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun
Dave

I had a look at it, and while one segment would be easy to animate, and the content for the other segments east to create, the other segments would have to be linked to their layers manually. It wouldn't be too many frames, but the rest would take forever. I am probably shooting myself in the foot here, but I'm thinking it would be doable with Animate, so I will 'maybe' get back to learning it on LinkedIn learning.
I remembered there was a kaleidoscope plugin for Photoshop, but it does not run on current versions of Photoshop. It was not a dead loss though because the site had a tip for rounding up your old plugins. Several of my earlier plugins like the Flaming Pear space set and Fractalius had not loaded with V22, but they were still in the V21 plugins folder in appdata\roaming so I copied all the .8bf files to a new folder in My Documents, and created a shortcut to that folder that I placedd in the V22 Plugins folder. They all show up in Photoshop now, and I only need to move that shortcut with future versions of Photoshop.

Wow Euan, that's brilliant! Was it all done with Photoshop? I've just thought to look and see that you are on the ACP program, so you would have all of the CC apps available.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
No photoshop involved 🙂
Yes, I'm an ACP and use / help here with Adobe products but I use a lot of tools on
a day to day basis including FCPX, Motion, Davinci Resolve, Lumafusion, Pixelmator, Affinity Graphics etc.
This one was done in Apple Motion: it's fast and realtime adjustment abilities make this easy to do.

I love this one. It has me thinking of the Pink Floyd Endless River album cover. The artwork below is not the original of course, but I rather like it.
