Thanks to all who took part in our last, thimble challenge.

For this weekend, we have a Piggy Bank. What will you make with it?

The “rules”:

* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc

* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".

* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!

* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.

To download the image below at full size, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).

Ah, thanks, Dave. Too kind. I wonder if there was a time when people considered pigs to be part of the Pachydermata order. Interesting to seeing the elephant here among them. I think that's a tapir right behind the elephant? “Rhinos, hippos, pigs, peccaries, horses, zebras, donkeys and tapirs are classified in clade Laurasiatheria, while elephants, hyraxes, manatees and dugongs are classified in clade Afrotheria.”

As an aside, for some reason the forum is not sending me the usual email notifications when someone posts to this thread or puts a like on my submission. I have checked and reset the pertinent settings, logging out and then back in, as someone recommended on another thread, to no avail. This started happening towards the end of the previous SFTW, then it worked fine for a while but has not worked on this SFTW thread. Is anyone having similar issues?

Rafael,

There seems to be, or have been, a general email notification maintenance, disabling notifications on weekdays 3AM - 1PM UTC = 8PM - 6AM PDT, with loss of noticiations.

I haven't been getting emails either. Days will go by with none, and then they resume, like today.

Dave, your pig is really cute and nicely executed. Unfortunately, inflation is running rampant in the U.S. and I need grocery money this week. Say good-bye to your beautiful creation!

It's going the same way here Jane.

I quickly modelled the piggy bank in Adobe Substance Modeler (Beta) and textured it in Adobe Substance Painter.

Good idea not to smash the pig with Dave's hammer, @Rafael Aviles , but can you try to shake a few bills out? 50s and 100s? All those pennies will barely buy me an apple at the grocery store! 😊
