Hi
Thanks to all who took part in the last challenge based on Ged's excellent rendering, there were some great ideas and images.
This weekend, with the end of October coming up, we have something a little different. Rather than a starter scene, the challenge is to create a Halloween based image in whatever format you like, but it should incorporate the text below somewhere within it.
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.
To download the image below with transparency, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun
Dave

@Trevor.Dennis It was a double exposure with a 4X5 camera. There was just enough of a breeze to blow the bottom of her outfit. I got lucky.

That might be what you think happened Chuck, but I am sure that is a real ghost. 😉

I had to look hard for the text, but it's there. Very atmospheric James.

James, the YouTube algorithm put up your Vivaldi guitar recital for me again today. It is difficult to equate the calmly composed person playing that guitar to the dark and disturbing images you upload to SFTW. Could you possibly be the Evil Twin of the guitar player? 😉

Well Halloween is almost over here, and over many places in the US, but here's one more.

I like the theme, but it's also a beautiful spider image. Did you take that Chuck?

Thanks @davescm, yes, I did. It had spun its web across a couple trees in my back yard.

Great photo Chuck and composition. Did you create the spiderweb or was that from the photo?

You did a great job with the spider photo Chuck. The lighting is excellent.

I've been searching for, but haven't found, the episode of Jimmy Nail's 'Spender' where his sidekick 'Stick', played by the late Sammy Johnson, looks at a rare steak questions why his steak is bleeding. When told it is rare he says 'Rare! A good vet would have that back on its feet!'

Ha! Woody Allen once said something like "I like my meat dead. Not sick, not wounded, dead."
