This coming Monday (20th March) we have the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere. So to mark the start of spring (at least in astronomical terms) I thought we should have our own spring.
The “rules”:
* Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry.
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only. Sorry to emphasise this, but the image is not for use elsewhere.
To download the image below, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. I've made the background transparent to save you cutting it out. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.
Dave

Nice work @EuanWilliamson .
How did you create that effect?

But @Dean_Utian you wouldn't ask a magician to share his secrets 😉
( sadly like magic, it's a bit of a trick. Stock particle effect repurposed and mov to gif via Adobe Express. Size 720p and 12fps to keep the file size down.
Lastly, if you look again, the particles are behind the whole spring and not in the middle)
Abracadabra 😉

Very clever Jane, bending the springs slightly adds to the effect. 🙂

Thank you Dave! 🙂 Great idea for a spring to celebrate the spring equinox, and I appreciate the transparency!

I'm imagining the balloon bouncing up and down on that spring Jacob.

The beginning (or end?) of an idea - the bulb is not quite glowing yet (or was it just turned off?)

That's a nice use of the spring Rafael and nicely done with the glow.

Whose turn is it X or O ? 🙂

X usually goes first, so X has the next turn.

The 'O's have it 🙂 Nicely done Bob.

Not sure how successful this is in representing my idea. What do you see?
