We had some impressive entries to our previous spanner challenge - thanks to all who took part.
This weekend we have a fairy tale castle. Well actually, no, it is a real castle on the North East coast of Scotland and is called Dunrobin Castle. If you are in that area, it is well worth a visit.
I am sure though that the imaging skills in this forum can bring a fairy tale to life in the scene. Will it be a warm tale or will it, today being Friday 13th , have a darker side?
The “rules”:

I know, Euan, but it started with the request by the daughters to go to Scotland; the other bit was just a detour.

I think the answer might be, 'I'm making a crazy-golf course.'

Of shoes and ships and sealing-wax; of cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings.’

I was last there a few weeks ago Euan. The castle and grounds are excellent, the weather that day ranged from bright sunshine to torrential rain. A good excuse to go inside and eat though.

The one, and only time I was there, they had an amazing flying bird show.
It mainly comprised of a variety of birds of prey.
You've probably been to a show where they have a parrot flying over your head to the trainers hand.
In this case they were using a peregrine falcon, also known I believe in the US as a duck hawk. It was amazing the speed with which the falcon flew over our heads, almost completely silently. The most impressive display was when it flew down from a great height to the trainers hand. It just appeared out of nowhere.
Apparently a falcon in full dive mode can reach almost 200 mph!

That would be by eye, Dave, literally; I see it as a fountain of watchfulness, without a blink, unlike the other watchers using the pond as a mirror.

[EDIT] This is the forth version, this one has a bow wave and wake added. Frame animations can be a nightmare to edit once made with things getting out of sync and generally not working, so it's nice moving a Smart Object about the frame as you can edit it like normal and the changes work across all of the frames.

Trevor, luckily the watchful fountain has ducked in time to remain undetected from the tour boat, thus evading the fate of being forever hunted like Nessie.
