Something for the Weekend - Part 215 - Walk on!

Hi,
Thank you to everyone who took part in our nuts and bolts challenge.

This week, I thought we should get out of the old tool shed and into the fresh air. I snapped this picture on a pleasant walk in North Yorkshire, England. It is part of the 109 mile 'Cleveland Way' trail. It was very tranquil on a hazy afternoon in the summer, and looks as if little happens there. But I am sure you can show us what goes on when there is no-one around.

The “rules”:

  • Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry.
  • Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc.
  • Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”.
  • There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off your skills, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
  • The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.

To download the image,  hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.

Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).

When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.

Have fun!

Looking closely at those road markings, I feel there is about to be a major bump. I do like the poster!

There's really no plot to this. Ive been in a Parks and Rec kick lately and wanted to change the sky/lighting to rainy/stormy/overcast look.

2030!

The Cycle of Pollution and Technology

The picture I created shows a serious problem: as we move to new places to escape pollution, we end up ruining those new places too.

In the image, a woman is running towards a beautiful, clean field. But in the background, there are factories polluting the air and trash on the ground. This shows that our technology, which helps us in many ways, also brings pollution.

When we leave polluted areas, we often bring the same problems to new places. As we settle in these new areas, we use the same technologies and habits, causing more pollution and damage.

To stop this cycle, we need to change how we live and use technology. We must focus on being more sustainable and protecting the environment. This way, we can keep our planet healthy and beautiful for future generations.

Welcome to SFTW Toxos.
So in 2030 we will finally get our flying cars, but there are high rise buildings in the Yorkshire countryside and it appears that an excess of jogging may cause growth of an additional head 🙂

Nice Jane.
When I wrote the title I had a different song, to U2's 'Walk on', in my head. It was 'You'll Never Walk Alone' which originated in the musical Carousel but, after Gerry and the Pacemakers released it, became Liverpool football club's 'anthem'.

Thank you Dave!

Your subject lines for SFTW are always interesting and worth paying attention to. I hadn't heard of the Hillsborough disaster before. So tragic...
