Something for the Weekend - Part 224 - A milestone in life!

Hi,
We had some great images in our shaving brush challenge - thanks to everyone who took part.

Every project needs some milestones and this week we have ours. I wonder what it has seen as it sits by the side of the road. Can you show us?

The “rules”:

• Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry.
• Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc.
• Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum “regulars”.
• There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off your skills, or bring a bit of humor and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
• The starter image is made available for you to use in this forum challenge only.

To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser). I've already put it on a transparent background, to save you time masking.

When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.

Haha, when I rendered this week's starter image, my daughter said it looked like a gravestone. Many of this week's entries have proved her right! 🙂

That was exactly my first impression. And my second impression. It was only when I downloaded the image and saw it full scale that I realized it was a milestone!

Dave, Jane, I definitely saw it as a render.

Small signs, and the setting; and the absence of such a milestone/road in the middle of the UK until SFTW224.

Hence my taking the liberty of telling the tale of Halfway Lane turned Halfway End, with references and all.

I have heard that Derek.  We used to say that Éire had good roads because they had all that European Union money, but I spent a week there in August, and it was like driving off-road.
