Thank you to Dave for allowing me a turn to share an image this "weekend" and to all who took part in our previous miner's safety lamp challenge. There were some great ideas and images.
This weekend we have a an image of Rabbit Ears Peak near Steamboat, Colorado. The 5.5-mile roundtrip trail is considered a moderately challenging route and is beautiful in good weather.
What can you do with it?
The “rules”:
To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!

Jane,
Thank you for stepping in at such short notice this week. When I get back home I'll be able to take part.

I recognise that rocky outcrop. It's the planet Gorn where the courageous captain Kirk had a fight to the death with the least realistic alien monster in the history of TV and cinema.

Great idea Trevor! And you are first to reply!

Ah Star Trek where all aliens spoke English and had two arms and two legs. I loved it as a kid, and watch the occasional re-run now.

Guys, I am having a play with the Krea Image Enhancer, and thought was nasty enough to stand some improvement. I'm thinking it's pretty impressive, and AFAIK it is still free with unlimited goes. I can't swear to that though. It does video as well as stills, but I have not tried that. It looks similar to Firefly in some respects (from a quick glance). This is where I learned about it.
[EDIT] I didn't realise that it also upscaled the image. I have been using Topaz Labs Photo Ai for upscaling, but that was _definitely_ not free!

Not only first, Trevor, but also second! I think I remember seeing these two gunslingers on my hike to the top.

You're on a roll Trevor! Now I find out I didn't have to walk up that steep path!

It reminds me of a time I was walking in West Yorkshire. Middle of nowhere and turned a corner to find an ice cream van. How he got there I have no idea as the trails only looked suitable for walking or substantial farm machinery.

Dave, did you get the TV show reference? I didn't watch it myself, but have seen a lot of bits of it on YouTube.

Round here (UK) there would just be a bloke in a toll booth, and an orderly queue of course 🙂

I like the image Trevor. I've watched some people doing that and their skill and balance levels are insane.
