Hi,
Thanks to all who took part in the previous 'Hippity Hop' challenge, and in particular to @jane-e for stepping in at very short notice and setting an excellent challenge image.
This week, we are off to the North Coast of Scotland looking out from John O'Groats harbour, toward Pentland Firth and the island of Stroma. The weather is not as nice as in Jane's last challenge, but it was a summer's day! There is not much happening in the harbour or the firth, or is there...?
The “rules”:

Have fun!

Yes, I come from the age of film. My favourite camera that I ever owned was a Mamiya RB67. I loved its quality and, importantly, the way it slowed me down and made me think.

There are a few locations for those around the northern coast. Nicely fitted.

Nobody's going to look for a submarine in such a small port. Well done!

the original photo reminds me of a well known scenery at the Lake Constance (Austria, Germany, Switzerland) with the famous Lindau harbour. Just added the (kind of) Swiss Alps beyond the distant lake shore with AIGF (prompt: "add swiss alps seen from lindau (lake constance)") and a lighthouse landmark (prompt: "add lindau lighthouse (lake Constance)"). some minor tweaks applied ...

The harbour fits well in its new location, as does the lighthouse on the pier. Nice.

I expect to see James Bond's arch enemy emerging from the island. Of course, the lads from Liverpool will come to the rescue in their yellow submarine 🙂

A nice idea, Monika, which you have executed in an original way. I like it a lot! 🙂
There is such a sign not far from where the picture was taken. It mentions the north pole as 2200 miles. I thought I'd mention it, given that Santa has put in a few appearances this week.
