Something for the Weekend - Part 232 - Through the Mill!

Hi,
We had some great entries to our last, 'Cutting Edge' challenge. Thanks to all who took the time to create those images.

This week we are off to the River Wear at Durham, where we find this old fulling mill. Fulling is a step in the process of making woollen cloth. The building dates back to the 17th century although there are records of a watermill at the location even before that. In 1833 it became a museum and part of the university of Durham. It is a timeless and tranquil scene. What can you do to liven it up?

The “rules”:

That must be the Lambton Worm. A famous myth said to be not far from this location.

A combination of the generative fill in the top photo and the remove tool in the bottom image.

I think I prefer the top version where the river bank is re-inforced, rather than the bottom where the mill was demolished! 🙂

I'm always impressed how the generative fill gets the reflections in water pretty spot on.. not really difficult to to do manually- but to get er done with  a couple of mouse clicks is pretty cool.

A tranquil scene indeed, as we are joined by Bambi. In the summer I was staying in a house on the banks of the river Ness. Walking back to the house one evening, I saw two deer in the garden. Unfortunately, they saw me and took off before I could grab a photo.
