Thanks to all who took part in our last 'Pot Luck' challenge.
This week I thought we might start with an industrial scene. This was the last blast furnace in Redcar, but unfortunately it was closed down in 2015 and has now been demolished. Sadly, it marked then end of the use of blast furnaces, to make steel by the river Tees, which had gone for 140 years.
What can you make with this industrial scene?
The “rules”:
To download the starter image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!

your subject was so inviting, as i grew up in such an industryscape and as i'm a scifi fan and love to remix such stuff with RL scenes 🙂

I forgot to add that the model was textured in Substance Painter and the model was brought as a glb file into Photoshop and staged using the Substance 3D Viewer.

I like the black and white image. It suits that record of an event style. Thanks for adding how you made it, I use the Substance apps a lot, in fact the next SFTW starter image that I'm putting together is made in 3D apps including Substance Designer and Painter, and World Creator and Xfrog and Blender... 🙂

@Ko.Maruyama I bought an Xfrog library (3000 plants) in a sale a few years ago. It's very handy for landscapes and outdoor scenes with shrubs and trees. I also got the software which enables you to create from scratch or take a library model and modify it, for example to have trees that have been bent by the prevailing winds or to have more or less branches and leaves. It's probably been updated many times since, but the library I have works well for me.
