Hi
It seems that wherever there are rocks and stones lying around people have the urge to pile them up. These mini-cairns are at Loch Loyne in Scotland. There was a request a couple of years ago for folk not to build them as they were misdirecting walkers and some were hiding left rubbish under them. One larger example on Ben Nevis hid a piano !
Can you show us, by modifying the image, what they are for. Are they memorials, photo opportunities, a bit of fun or something more sinister. You decide.
Anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side. This is to stop the thread slowing down when lots of images are added.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).

Not so much why they were piled up, but by whom?

Jacob loves to have the latest kit;
but he will be eating beans on toast for the rest of the month after forking out on one of those new Black Hole cameras

Was I the only one that expected the black hole photo to look like this ?

On the other hand, Dave, we don’t yet have images from deep inside a black hole, so you may be right.
The image we have is the event horizon.

No, that is what I was expecting, too. Then again, I went to Washignton's Air and Space Museum expecting it to be a big empty room. I was so disappointed.

First of all congratulations to Leslie. If that orange badge persuades her to hang around and share more of her fantastic artwork, then that works for me.
I keep being late to the SFTW threads lately, and missed last week completely! So I was sure someone would beat me to this obvious link.

NASA have just released another picture. This time it is of an object being sucked into the Black Hole. There's probably an alternative universe the other other side of the Event Horizon where Trump never lies, and Ged's images are considered normal. Where is Mr Bizarre btw?

Hi
Graham - everyone must be under the rocks hiding from the eagle.
Jacob - If the black hole is getting that close - I'm off. I see from your other post that I'm not the only one that thought the black hole photo would be black
Bob - An alien conspiracy - just what we needed.
Rista - i hope he finds his way through, people keep moving them.
Ray- Maybe your image should be titled "Checking on the kids" ?
Trevor - Welcome back. Just a load of old stones then. I just noticed the pic on teh drumkit
If anyone has just found this thread, don't just look, join in !

Dave,

It may be a bit late, as I said already: it is already nibbling away at the mountains, and even past them.

Quite: those were the days where we were kept in the dark.

He's been busy for the last 2 weeks, but he should make an appearance very soon

Turning donkeys into zebras for the Belfast zoo? Retouching the Dali paintings at the Ireland National Gallery fixing the sagging clock faces, and liquifying the giraffe legs to the correct length? A 'normal' day for Mr Bizarre.
No mention of a certain American President, but we know who is doing his damnedest to perpetuate Climate Change.

Indeed, Ray.
What can now be said to any and all paparazzi: "That's not a camera."

That “camera” consisted of eight telescopes, 200 astronomers, and 10 years.

Jane,
I thought more in the line of "That's not a camera. This is a camera."

Ray, your Easter Island statue is going to give me nightmares tonight. We have some Easter Island people in my town, and they do a fantastic dance wearing feathers and two halves of a coconut shell. I took this in at our Multicultural Festival in 2013
And this in 2003. This lady can _really_ dance. I don't know why she has a space alien on her leg?
I got this idea from Bob's Saturn picture.
