Hi
Another weekend and another challenge! Thanks to ACP Jane Edwards for suggesting this weeks theme. Saturday is Star Wars day - May the Fourth be with you! To mark that, I have modelled and rendered (using Blender 3D) a scene based on the igloo in Star Wars IV. What will you now do with it to bring it to life?
Anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).
Have fun.
Dave

Cheers Ged - it is not exact, but it's close enough for the purpose here. Substance Painter, which is now part of the Adobe group since Adobe took over Allegorithmic, was great for texturing.

It will be interesting to see if Substance Painter will be part of the subscription

Sorry, it was stronger than I.
And thank you very much, Jane, for your spelling out the misspelling.

Hi
Some great ideas this weekend!
Jacob - that black hole gets around doesn't it. I also seem to recognise many of those elements in your second image
Rista - A strong message and a new movie poster - I like it!
Evolution indeed - a brief history of time !
Semaphoric - That made me laugh.
Graham or is it Luke, a double sunrise down under !
Rafael - Excellent. The concrete legs fit brilliantly
Keep them rolling in !

Can this count as fair use? (images from Wikipedia and article below).

Dean,
At least the use of multicoloured expanding light bullets is definitely fair and new; maybe this is the first display of the decisive Distance Doom..

Poor Peter. It sounds like he was a really nice bloke.
The first thing I saw when Dave put this up, was two chopped off legs and a very fat tummy.

Rafael, you were a lot more subtle than I was.
Dave, it's 20 years since I was that slim, and that's still probably one of those alternative facts. It would be more accurate to say it is 20 years since I was nearly that slim, and fifty since I 'was' that slim.
Jacob, either young Luke grew up on Arrakis, or that is the entrance to a Spice mine.
John, I like it. Am I the only one who heard the speech bubble in a John Wayne accent?

K,
These threads are often kept alive until Thursday, sometimes even early Friday (Pacific Time, PST/PDT). Many here have long weekends.

I guess there is really no limit. If you have an idea for an old SFTW thread that will not be denied, then posting it will bump the thread and folk can marvel at your artwork. As Jacob has said, it is absolutely not too late to post images for this thread.
