Hi
I noticed that it was 500 years ago this month that Leonardo Da Vinci died. Famous for drawing, painting scupting, invention, and science he was certainly imaginative. So I wondered how imaginative we could get with one of his most famous paintings.
Unusually - this is not my starter image but an image downloaded from wikimedia commons. What will you now do with it? Will you show us what she is looking at, put her in a new scene, replace her with some-one else, or something else entirely?
As always, anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).
Have fun
Dave

Celebrating things Leo.
In that case, I get to share my favorite da Vinci! Ginevra de’ Benci is in Gallery 06 in the West Wing of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
The museum itself is free to visit, as are all of the Smithsonian museums which surround it on the National Mall. If you can’t visit, the NGA has 51,000 open access images available for free download here:

Mona Lisa made a visit to the NGA. I want to say recently, because that’s how memories work. But it was probably long ago.

Some say Mona Lisa is a self portrait of Leonardo.

Hah! I have only just worked out that one of the Ninja Turtles was named Leonardo. I think I must have had a sheltered life.

Hi
Wow a lot of entries this week.
Trevor that page on turning paintings into moving images is interesting. No modern sitter could go without a phone for long so your image is probably spot one
Rista - A modern take on the picture, and I love how you have let out the secret of her smile in your second image
Rafael - A dark mood indeed - someone's stolen her bike !
Jacob - Of course she has. That's why she's smiling !
Graham - looks like she has been relit!
Michael - the cap suits her - nice job with the cracked paint on the surface.
Dean - the statue is very close to teh fire - which explains why the two faces have melted together in your second image.
Jane - thanks for sharing that.
HothWampa - she's come out of her shell then!
Nancy - I remember folk making those images with typewriters - and telex consoles (remember them ?)

Dave,
Maybe you have just shown the real reason for her smiling, which would be the fifth.

When Americans read 'The Fifth' they tend to think of Amendments and the right to stay silent, so perhaps ML would rather not say what is making her smile.
Dave, I'd forgotten SFTW5 as well, and thought the background looked like a Windows desktop.
Jane, reversing vehicle pedals does not bear thinking about. We have enough trouble here with Chinese tourists driving on the wrongs side of the road. It would be mayhem if they had to cope with reversed pedals as well.

It's only a problem here when folk drive on the wrong side of a divided highway. But those are DWIs, not tourists. And they have another kind of a fifth on the passenger seat.
Since we're on the subject, Trevor, are you sure Dave was sitting on the driver's side in Part 47?
