Spot healing brush issue

Community Beginner ,
Dec 27, 2016 Dec 27, 2016

I am trying to work out when i click on the spot healing brush, it's showing up as a cross not a circle. Once i enlarge to like 65 a very small circle then comes up which i am still unable to do anything with. Has anyone had this issue?

Try resetting the tool.

With the healing brush selected click on the down arrow at the options bar , then on the cog then on Rest tool

In Photoshop: if CAPS LOCK is down, you normally see just the crosshair.

Hi

If you are getting cursor issues and resetting the tool did not work the next steps I would take are:

1. Temporarily switch of the GPU in Preferences. You will need to restart afterwards. If that works turn it back on but go through the GPU options - Basic , Normal, Advanced etc.

2. If none of that works reset your preferences - using the Reset Preferences on Quit button on the Preferences - General page.

Hi

What happen if you use the "Healing brush Tool", instead ?

Another thing to check is the system cursor size being set to something other than Normal

Go to System Preferences>Accessibility>Display and set the Cursor size to Normal
