I am experiencing difficulty with the spot healing brush tool.  I have it set on normal blending mode and sample all layers.  Have tried various hardness, size, angle etc.  Have reset that tool and all tools.  What I am experiencing is when I click on the spot I want to select, the brush selects an area away from where I click.  It also only goes in a straight line and right angles.......wierd......and no the cap lock is not on.:)  Can someone please help?  I edit images of jewelry and use this tool alot to remove reflections.

HI cchallenger,

Which version of Photoshop are you using?

Are you using a Tablet like Wacom with Photoshop?

Also, try resetting Photoshop preferences to default following this article Preferences in Photoshop and let us know if that's helpful.

Thanks,

AKash
