I modified some scripts with the ExtendScript toolkit. Now the Photoshop File->Scripts menu shows two copies of each script with the same name. Chosing one gets me the old version; chosing the other gets the new. There are no (visible) duplicates in the Presets/Scripts directory. Does PS have a script cache? How do I purge it?

Could it be You saved Your new versions into Users »Your User« Library Application Support Adobe Adobe Photoshop CS3 Presets Scripts?
Because the old ones probably still are in the Scripts-folder in the Application-folder itself.

Only the [appinstallfolder]/Presets are scanned for js and jsx files that would get you a menu item. Two menu items is two scripts somewhere. Do a detailed scan and you should find it.
