Starting with Mixer Brush - No paint is flowing

Contributor ,

I just started to use the mixer brush, which I later want to use in photo retouching.

First I got some paint.

But then paint stopped.  I have wet 30% load 100% flow 100% and there

I have a current brush load set, and I have set "reload brush after each stroke"

Still, no paint is flowing. All I can do is smear around the paint I already have on the canvas.

I checked the web, but I seem to be the only one word wide who has somehow activated the "no paint for you" button

What am I missing? Which setting is wrong? Why is there no paint?

thanks!

Hi

What is your mix setting - at 100% it will do what you describe

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?

Hello Dave,

thank you, it was the mix setting!

So 100% mix means mix with nothing and you get nothing...

Yes 100% means all canvas, 0% all brush. So for a good mix use 50%
