Stop Batch Processing during a batch. Quit Batch Processing

Hi,

I used to be able to use the (command and period) keys together to stop batch processing while it is going if I realized I chose the wrong folder or wanted to add something to the action. although that no longer works. someone suggested the escape key which does not work. Help web and photoshop gurus!

On Windows ECC seems to work but often need to be tapped repeatedly to catch Photoshop's attention. I do not use a Mac like you. On Windows break or ctrl+break does not seem to work
