Hi. When I have 2 opened projects, I'd like to save for web the images in their own (different) folders. With the actual setting, everytime I switch the project and do a "save for web (old version)", the destination folder is the last used in photoshop, not the last used in the actual project. It could be useful, and could be a real time-saver, if any psd keeps in memory the "save for web" folder so I don't have to set the folder every time I switch to another project.
The same suggestion has the support of other people in this thread Photoshop: Save for Web should respect "Save As" to original folder preference | Photoshop Family Cu...
Please Adobe, consider this suggestion.
Best regards

Actually the destination folder is the last used in Save For Web, not Photoshop. Aside from that I just don't agree.
First of all it could easily become a mess with overwritten originals, and the current policy avoids that particular sinkhole. OK, it could be an option, but no way the default.
Second, why do you need/want to keep and store these exported web files in the first place? It never even occurred to me to do that. One site may require 850 pixels, the next 1050, the next 1280 and so on. I have my master file, and I export jpegs/pngs as needed from that.
And what exactly do you mean by project? That may be a meaningful concept to you, but makes no sense to me. I just don't work that way.

In fact it already is an option in the new Export module. It only seems to work with Quick Export, though, not with Export As.
So it seems you got it. But not in Save For Web, which is, after all, "legacy" and will not be updated any more.
I have a different problem with Export, which is that you still can't embed icc profiles. That makes it useless for me...

File>Export As has Embed Color Profile under Color Space.
Although it seems that will only embed RGB icc profiles and not any others like a cmyk icc profile, if that matters.
It does though embed sRGB for web use.
Don't know why there is not a similar option for Quick Export.
Adobe sure seems to be dragging their feet on this Export thing.

Oops, indeed it does...my bad, I haven't been paying attention...
Well, with that in place I'm happy, and I can finally retire SFW.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah like you said this isn't working with the "legacy" export, and maybe you are right this probably won't be updated anymore but this function isn't fully replaced with the new one, I find a lot more useful the old one, even if the saving directory is a loss of time.
