Switching My Adobe Plan to a Student Plan

So I've been paying for only photoshop by the month for over a couple of years now. Which I like, it's all I ever need because I'm a photographer and I already have light room on a disc. Well I'm also a student in college and I'm taking a web design class that's requiring me to have access to Dreamweaver, Muse, and a couple other programs from Adobe. I thought they would be provided with the class, but aren't, so now it's on me. Well I was looking to upgrade my plan and found out that I can get a student discount which I've never known before??? Well when I read that it was going to cost the same amount I'm already paying for just Photoshop for ALL of their programs. I was stoked! As a college student, I need some good news like that! So i figured, especially since my payment amount truly won't differ at all, I could easily just switch my plans. But when I try do that, it doesn't give me the option to switch to a student discount plan. So I decided okay I'll just go cancel my current plan, and then sign up for the student plan, but adobe wants to charge me a $60 cancelation fee! what's up with that??? Is there anyone out there that could help me make this easy transition in payment plans and soon cause I really need these programs for school and don't want to pay a nonsense $60 fee.

Hi, maddiemarie_k. I'm afraid this community site can be a bit confusing. This area is more about peer-to-peer assistance on making applications do what people want. Sometimes, Adobe staff comes in, but it's rare.

Your question needs to be directed to the billing department, and I'd recommend doing so by telephone. The contact page for that kind of assistance can be found here: Contact Customer Care
